Welcome to Matchbox Stable, a comfortable cottage for two people nestled in the downland village of Singleton in West Sussex, a stone’s throw from Goodwood. Originally built as stabling in the 1850’s, the stable has recently been converted into a delightful flint cottage whilst keeping the unique charm of the old original stables.
Awarded 4 stars by Visit England, this homely pet free cottage provides exceptionally spacious accommodation and is well equipped for a relaxing holiday. Gas central heating will ensure this cottage is equally suited to cosy winter getaways as well as summer breaks. A perfect destination for a short break in West Sussex.
Within easy reach of Chichester, you will find that Singleton is an excellent base to explore the West Sussex Coast, historic towns, numerous local National Trust properties, and enjoy the beauty of the South Downs National Park. The surrounding area is most easily enjoyed by car; however, the cottage is close to a bus route to enable a car-free break. The area is popular with keen walkers and will be sure to also appeal to cyclists.
Should you wish to dine out, local pubs provide a mouth-watering choice and local towns benefit from a wide range of restaurants and cafes.
